WeDart Help Center

Yes! The WeDart 1 is designed so that you can use it with or without an internet connection. The connection between the WeDart 1 and the WeDart app is done via Bluetooth. When you play in online mode, the WeDart app uses the internet connection of your smartphone or tablet. Only firmware updates may require an internet connection on the WeDart 1.

Basically, you can use any sisal dartboard, but there may be small variations in recognition accuracy. We therefore recommend the following models:

  • Winmau: Blade 4, Blade 5, Blade 6 (various versions).
  • Target: Aspar, Pro Tour
  • Unicorn: Eclipse Pro 2, Eclipse HD2 Pro
  • Bull’s: Focus II, Focus II Plus One80:
  • Gladiator 3 (various versions)

You can basically use all your steeldarts. However, the detection works best with dark barrels. Mini darts may not be detected at all or not well.

To change your dartboard, turn off your WeDart 1 and unplug the power cord. Then remove the surround from the light ring using the nylon strap. Now you can loosen the wedges on the base plate and turn your dartboard or lift it out upwards. Afterwards fix your dartboard again, just like the first time you used it. The corresponding description can be found in the user manual.

For now, 301, 401, 501, 601 and 701 games are possible, which can be played with Double In, Double Out, Single In and Single Out. A maximum of 13 sets with a maximum of 13 legs each can be played in one game. In addition, a Free Practice mode is available, in which the WeDart 1 counts on and on, starting from 0.

The WeDart 1 can only be used with WeDart Surrounds. This is due to the dimensions of the Surround on the one hand, and the density of the PU material on the other. A black surround is always included in the scope of delivery.

On the WeDart app home page, first select one or more profiles that you want to add to the game. The “Start Game” button will then light up green. The default is a 501 Double Out game with 2 sets of 3 legs each. So when you press “Start Game” it will start. If you want to change game settings, scroll down on the home page to select other game variations. Then start the game by pressing the “Start Game” button.

Yes, press the X button in the upper right corner of the game view. A popup will open asking if you want to pause or cancel the game. Paused games can be resumed on the “History” page.

For wall mounting, you will need our drilling template, which is included in the WeDart 1 package, as well as our mounting instructions, which you can also find in the user manual. You will also need a Phillips screwdriver and a tape measure or yardstick. Be sure to follow the assembly instructions when mounting your WeDart 1 on the wall! To make the installation easier, we have also uploaded an installation video in the “Instruction videos” tab.

The WeDart app is free and available for Android and iOS smartphones and tablets. You can find it in the AppStore as well as in the PlayStore.

After installing the app, turn on Bluetooth and Location on your smartphone or tablet. When you first open the WeDart app, it will ask for permissions, including Bluetooth. Confirm these. You can then create a user profile and go to the start page. Select the WeDart 1 icon Icon of the Device Page in the upper right corner to start the scan for Bluetooth devices. This is the only way to find the WeDart 1, not via the Bluetooth settings of your device. After a successful scan, your WeDart 1 device and the signal strength will appear on the screen. Now press “Connect” to connect to the device. Once connected, a green dot will appear on the WeDart 1 icon. If you restart the WeDart 1 afterwards, it will connect automatically as soon as the corresponding smart device starts the weDart app. Please note that only one smart device can be connected to the WeDart 1 at a time.

Once you have opened the WeDart app and confirmed the permissions for the app, you will be asked to create a profile. Just follow the instructions in the WeDart app. You can create more profiles by pressing “Add Profile” on the home page.

The user manual can be found printed in the packaging of your WeDart 1 or digitally in the current version here.

Possible causes:

  • Does a loading icon appear after scanning? If not, missing permissions of the app might be the cause. You can assign these in the settings of your device.
  • Does a loading icon appear and nothing is found? Maybe Bluetooth or location are not activated or your device otherwise blocks the use of Bluetooth or location services. On Android devices, for example, there is a Bluetooth Search or Nearby Devices setting that must also be enabled.

Possible fix:

  • Turn the WeDart 1 off and on again.
  • After starting your WeDart 1, wait about 30 seconds until the status LED in the electronics compartment flashes green.
  • Scan a few times
  • Check if Bluetooth is activated
  • Check if location is activated
Check the permissions of the WeDart app in the settings of your device.
  • Restart your device and start the process from the beginning.

Possible fix:

  • Open the Device page of the WeDart app and press Unpair.
  • Scan again.

This is not a problem, WiFi is currently only required for a system update. The function will be enabled in an upcoming app update. However, it is important that your device running the app has a stable internet connection.
